COLLECTIVE #hotelierPULSE Podcast with Daniella Boeken from Ruby Hotels l 29 April 2021

Posted on

Tune in to this podcast recording of the COLLECTIVE #hotelierPULSE live session we streamed live on LinkedIn and Youtube 29th April 2021, with special guest Daniella Boeken, Group Vice President Commercial at Ruby Hotels.

In this session, Daniella shared her views and insights on questions such as:

  • What are expectations in terms of travel demand for the summer 2021 and do you still think there may be a chance that international travel will resume this year? If so why?

  • Based on the findings of The Hotelier PULSE Report, Hotel Occupancy expectations in April 2021are looking better than March 2021, and the CRS data shows that occupancy in April has also outgrown the same period in 2020. Interestingly, City Hotels expect the highest occupancy levels in April.

Are you experiencing this in the Ruby Hotel’s City properties as well, particularly in partially-reopened hubs such as London? Why do you think that is?

  • On a more optimistic note, Hoteliers seem less concerned with previously dominant issues that impacted consumer demand, such as Health & Safety concerns, tighter consumer budgets, and flight capacity. As such, Hoteliers continue to prioritize reshaping their marketing strategies to reach new markets and cater for domestic travelers. Do you agree with this sentiment?
